The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn't a Guy at All![]() The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn't a Guy at AllGenres: Girls Love, Music Published: April 19, 2023 to ? Status: 121/? | My Rating: 9/10 Summary:
The black-clad boy that Aya Oosawa likes is perfect: he is effortlessly nonchalant, has a sharp sense of style, and listens to the best music. Ever since the trendy Aya stumbled upon a small CD store to enjoy the rock classics her friends are not familiar with, the mysterious employee behind the counter has been on her mind. Meanwhile, the quiet and aloof Mitsuki Koga listens to her popular classmate Aya rave about her crush, tormented by a nagging thought: how to tell Aya that the guy she is interested in is not a guy at all! In reality, when Mitsuki sheds her plain high school uniform, she is the one manning the counter at her uncle Joe's CD shop. She wrestles with how to reveal her identity, but flirting with the stunning and clueless Aya is just too tempting. As music becomes their shared passion, it seems that Aya's feelings will remain unchanged—even when Mitsuki's secret comes to light. Review![]()
This was so cute! I loved watching the developing relationship between Oosawa and Koga, and I also found myself wanting to try out new music after reading this :] (although I actually have a similar music taste to both girls lol). I really liked the supporting cast too, they were all fun and added a lot to the story. I felt like Koga's reveal happened at a good point, not too soon and not too late, and Oosawa is really fun and a good protagonist! I also loved all of Koga's outfits augh she's so fashionable. I do feel that the 4-page chapter kind of limits the storytelling here. It isn't the end of the world or anything but it did sometimes feel like things were flipping around nonsensically. Other than that though I really loved this series and can't wait to read more. Oosawa and Koga are so cute and I love seeing them explore new things together :] I wouldn't say this series is anything ground breaking or particularly exciting, but it's very solid and does what it needs to very well. |
